I just got that back up and running I had to rebuild the system. HDTV 100% well that I do that with a wireless HP laptop connected to my other HDTV running Windows XP Media Center 2005 SP2. I am using XP Pro, and all router and adapter driver/firmware were upgraded to the latest version.

I don't know if anyone here have better luck? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated! The dual band router is advertised as best choice for HD streaming. I am really frustrated with the current wireless product. For 54Mbps, the speed is 15% (network utilization) *54Mbps=8.1Mbps, while for 300Mbps, the speed is 2%*300Mbps=6Mbps.Īnother interesting thing is that the speed for just copying file through wireless connection does improve a lot if using 300Mbps mode (15% network utilization). This can be confirmed by the average speed (in windows task manager) when playing HD video through wireless connection. Also, I found when working at 54Mbps (for adapter), it looks better than those higher bandwidth mode. However, if I use wired connection for my PC, everything is great, no breaking-up at all.

So far, I have tried four different router+adapter set, but none of them works for HD streaming (both video and audio was breaking-up significantly)Ģ) Netgear WPNT834 RangeMax 240 Router w/ WPNT121 USB 2.0 Adapterģ) D-Link DIR-655 w/ DWA-556 or DWA-552 or DWA-142 adapter.Ĥ) Netgear WNDR3300 Dual band router w/ WNDA3100 dual bank USB adapter.

I want to stream HD video (mostly recorded HDTV program) from my Hard drive (connected to router via 100M wire) to my PC (with wireless connection)
